MARRIAGE

(Easter, April 15, 2001)

From the Single moment when I saw you
Standing there in front of Christie’s doorway,
And felt my heart sink deep into my chest,
I knew you had to be the one for me;
Looking back to days without your laughter
And feeling something missing all that time,
Asking why, praying, wishing on stars,
I now understand what ‘worth the wait’ means;
Walking down the aisle as husband and wife
I gratefully share this wonderful life.
